FAQ’s
What services can I access on BOSOM?
BOSOM provides consultations with trusted maternal health professionals, including lactation support, mental health support, and follow-up care. Every session is personalised to your stage — pregnancy, postpartum, or early motherhood.
How do I book a consultation?
You can book directly through the website. Simply select your service and consultation type, choose a provider, and pick a time that works for you. You’ll receive confirmation and a secure link for your session.
Do you offer emergency consultations?
BOSOM does not provide emergency medical services.
For medical emergencies, please call 995 or go to the nearest A&E immediately.
Do you provide support after the consultation?
Yes. Post-consultation summaries, care instructions, and follow-ups (where applicable) are included so you feel supported beyond the session.
Who are your providers?
Our providers are certified and licensed healthcare professionals, including International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC), psychologists, and counsellors. Each provider is vetted to ensure clinical competence and alignment with Bosom’s care standards.
Can BOSOM diagnose medical conditions?
Our providers offer guidance, support, and early identification of concerns. Where diagnosis or medical treatment is required, you will be referred to an appropriate provider or specialist.
What if I need ongoing care?
Many mothers benefit from continuity of care. You can book follow-ups with the same provider or explore our care packages where suitable.
Is BOSOM a medical clinic?
BOSOM is a maternal health platform that connects mothers with licensed healthcare professionals for early-stage and preventive support. We work alongside — not in place of — hospitals and medical clinics.
Is my health information kept confidential?
Yes. All consultations and health information are handled in accordance with healthcare privacy standards. Your information is kept confidential and shared only with your care provider as required for your care.
Can my partner or a family member join the consultation?
For lactation consultations, you may invite your partner or a family member to join the session for additional support.
To ensure privacy and confidentiality, mental health consultations are conducted one-on-one between the client and provider.
Can I choose my provider?
Yes. You can view provider profiles and select the professional you feel most comfortable with.
Who is BOSOM suitable for?
BOSOM supports families through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and early motherhood. Our services are designed for mothers and families seeking accessible professional support across lactation, mental health, and women’s wellness.
If you are unsure whether your concern is suitable for a consultation, feel free to contact us and our team will be happy to guide you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards, as well as PayNow. All payments are processed securely at the time of booking.
What’s the difference between a psychologist and counsellor?
Counsellors support emotional wellbeing, stress, and life transitions, while psychologists are trained to assess and treat more complex mental health conditions.
Visit our Resource Library to learn more about different types of mental health support.
What’s the difference between an IBCLC and a CLC?
IBCLCs are internationally board-certified lactation specialists trained to support more complex feeding challenges, while CLCs provide guidance and support for common breastfeeding concerns.
You can explore our Resource Library for a deeper breakdown of lactation credentials.
